Kathy McHugh

Legal Triage Director LA Law Center

kathy-mchughKathy McHugh brings years of experience in business development, operations, and elder care to LA Law Center. As Legal Triage Director, she’s the first to speak with clients—helping to identify their needs and guide them to the right legal support.

She manages initial consultations, answers urgent questions, and oversees case deadlines so that the legal team can focus on what they do best.

Kathy is also a Medi-Cal expert. She helps clients navigate Medi-Cal Long-Term Care benefits and handles their applications, making complex elder care planning easier for families.
She also spent many years at Walt Disney World and Imagineering and founded KMC Consulting, an international consulting company.

After the 9/11 tragedy, Kathy decided to support her husband’s law practice full-time, as international travel and assignments were no longer desirable. She feels much more fulfilled in helping families daily.

Kathy enjoys helping families protect their assets and get their affairs in order. She lives in Southern California with her husband, Joe McHugh, their two grown children, rescued dogs, a tiny Papillon, and a peacock family named Big Bird. Her kids call her “Snow White” because of all the animals that gather around every morning when she steps out onto her front porch!
